5th Annual Brooklyn Blogfest

Last night was the 5th Annual Brooklyn Blogfest at the Brooklyn Lyceum. The event was sponsored by Absolut Vodka and unveiled their latest limited edition, city-inspired flavor drink Absolut Brooklyn that Spike Lee helped create. The Blogfest opened up with its Founding Director, Louise Crawford. Then a performance by Blogs Aloud and a tribute to Brooklyn Photo Bloggers. Spoken word artist Lemon Andersen performed his Ode to Brooklyn. Spike talked about growing up in Brooklyn and blogs being a tool. There was also a panel that discussed the creativity in Brooklyn. Brooklyn Industries was selling a stoop inspired tee designed by graphic artist, Fuse Green. A percentage of the profits of t-shirt sales, sold online and at Brooklyn Industries retail locations city-wide, will also benefit Habitat-NYC. Check photos from event after the jump.
